It’s been a while since I blogged.
Before 2019 came to an end I started working on a new body of work to pitch to potential new clients. Fast forward to today and things have changed in a big way.
Whilst things are on hold and I am trying to figure things out behind the scenes in this new position we find out selves in I thought what better time to update the blog. Here goes.

Product Photography - Jewellery & The Bowl

Towards the end of March I spent the day in the studio working on some product photos.
When photographing a product you can literally be faced with anything and they are always enjoyable to shoot because each brings a new challenge. From a piece of jewellery to a simple every day item like a bowl each brings a new way of approaching the shot.
I could get lost in the studio for weeks shooting products.

Earlier in Feb myself and good friend (sometimes assistant / Sometimes 2nd shooter) Stuart headed over to Chester to shoot for CH1 Studios owned by Sarah.
I have photographed Sarah before about 6 years ago when she was still based near Manchester.
James Crow - Editorial
This is James, all round nice guy and teacher of the Alexander Technique. If you are like me and have never heard of the Alexander Technique it is a process of improving your posture and self-awareness that is used to combat stress, anxiety and a wide number of physical ailments that can plague us in modern fast paced life.
Hell, even I was more aware of my posture when James was around and mine is normally terrible.
James works locally in Stockport, Wilmslow and Manchester so it was great to provide photography services for a local individual and brand. During our conversations leading up to the session we established the final use (Editorial, Web) for the images and a style the James was looking for to move his brand forward in this digital age, a date was set and we got to work.
