Pixapro kindly sent over an early unit of their CITI 1200 Pro Pack & Head flash (Affiliate) and it’s a monster. With 1200ws of power it is ready to tackle any job you can throw it’s way.
When I first heard about this unit being developed, I was not sure why. I mean we have the CITI 600(Affiliate), CITI 600 Dual head and the new CITI 400/600 Pro units. Who would need such a pack?
Then I thought about it some more.
Photographers that shoot all day on location and need power as well as photographers that like to boom lights on set. I fall into the latter.
A pack & head system allows for more flexible placement of the light and get’s some of the weight off the end of the boom. Perfect.

Bonus Meter Readings Video
In this video I took meter readings using my Sekonic L-358. The CITI 1200 Pro was modified by a Pixapro 120cm Octa with inner baffle and outer diffuser fitted. Readings were taken at the lowest power ( 1/256th ) and full power (1/1) at 6ft and 9ft distances.
Any questions let me know.
P.S - I have some further meter reading logs in my Facebook Group if you would like to find out more. .
